Infant Detail

The infant’s primary goals in the first year of life:

  • development of movement
  • weaning process
  • independence–the ability to do for oneself

To support the infant we focus on providing activities that are appropriate to the development level of each child.

You will not find bouncy seats, swings, highchairs, or any other contraptions that confine movement at Lola’s Place. You will find open floor space for movement, low shelves with materials which encourage visual perception, grasping, batting, kicking and mouthing. Once an infant is scooting and crawling, ample floor space enables mastery of these skills. There are climbing slides and stairs both indoors and outside.

Simplicity and Safety

You will find beautiful, clean, uncluttered space designed to meet the needs of the infant.
